….I AM LEGEND.

After watching the game last night from the Worlds Most Famous Arena, I looked back fondly on their organ music, their passionate fans, their dancers….still, it left me wanting more. Sure, it was great not to be subjected to Souljah Boy three times a game, but I think the NBA could do better. So does someone else. I LOVE his suggestion for the Raptors music. Very fitting.

For all you Vince haters (delusional as you may be), you’ll love this article from Jersey. This was, of course, before the game. A game in which the Nets could have handed the Celts their second straight defeat if they hadn’t pulled up lame and only scored 9 points in the fourth.

A while back in our forums, we were going back and forth about the East and how they were supposed to be so much better and almost as good as the West this year. We aren’t the only ones surprised by how things have turned out.

Remember last month when I said I was sitting on the edge of my seat to see what the NBA would do about the early Shaq-dismissal in Atlanta? Well, good things come to those that wait. I think it’s the right decision, but wonder if it had been an early toss of, say, Rasho, would the league make the same decision?

Tell me you wouldn’t love to see this on the next episode of COPS.

What do these guys have in common: Carmelo Anthony, LeBron James, Brandon Roy, Chris Bosh, Deron Williams, Josh Smith, Al Jefferson? They all are 23 years old. Not a bad crop. Just a year younger: Dwight Howard, Chris Paul.

I don’t even know who the competition is, but I pick Moon as the runner-up in the dunk contest. If the lemming Toronto fans are impressed by his skills, the judges will be too. It will be interesting to see what he is like after the experience, assuming he will be in the Rookie game as well. That’s a lot of stuff to do in a couple of days and you can’t tell me he ain’t gonna be hitting the streets of N’awlins.

Isiah says he still isn’t leaving. If nothing else, it means that the punters who want to boo will still buy tickets for a while. Wonder if Cluck Jerksky could charter a plane for some of the 300 level wingnuts to lend their support? After all, the Knicks did pick up the pace against what seemed to be a bored Raptor lot. Thankfully the Raptors hung on, otherwise some bloggers would have been a little less lighter (and higher pitched) today. Mind you, nobody would hear the higher pitch in your voice….um, unless you recorded a podcast…..
