Just to offset my Pierce is a Prick rant from last week, here is an article that can best be described as a fluff piece. Fluff as in fluffer. I have to laugh when Pierce says that he was never given anything. No? See if these words ring a bell: Garnett? Allen?

While there is a mild rumour circulating that Anthony Parker might leave the comfy confines of one Liars Lair to head over to Europe, I think his sister is quite content where she is. First she became the second woman in WNBA history to slam dunk and then she won the Honda-Broderick Cup, given to the top female athlete in the NCAA. I still think she could be the female Tiger Woods and help garner major interest in women’s professional basketball in North America.

I must admit that one trade scenario that was floated this weekend actually had me sit up and take notice, thinking, for once, this is a good trade: Billups and Prince for Carmelo. Admittedly, I’m a bit biased since moving Carmelo that close to me would mean that I’d be making more than a few road trips to the Palace. But then I pictured Camby and Prince with Iverson and Billups and found myself agog at the possibilities in Denver. Then I remembered that 3 out of the 4 are on the verge of being cripples.

Finally, the best video I have seen all year, bar none. Shaq freestyling. Sure he mentions Patrick Ewing and Kareem in a negative light, but the real darkness is aimed at Kobe. Evidently Shaq is waiting to find out what Kobe thinks of the flavour of Shaq’s ass, while reminding him that Kobe can’t win without the Big Diesel. With friends like these….
