A little surprising that he’s safe, but it’s good of Colangelo to address the coaching situation now rather than let the media have a field day (or field week, or field month..) with it.
BQR - not so sure. To say that the media and fans are pretty much split on the job Sam has done is an accurate assessment, I think. Injuries, lack of rebounding help, etc all played into a slightly disappointing season. Not really the coaches fault. Some tweaks are needed, but not sure swallowing Sams deal and adding another million dollar coach is necessary.

And the second a better plan comes along, Colangelo will dump him like day-old donuts.

1. Precise use of the English language is a required job spec for a GM in the NBA.
2. Interpreting correctly what a business Executive has to say and what it means when s/he says it … is an art form in and of itself.
Yessiree, there will be no coaching change for the Toronto Raptors … any time soon.
Whoever thought there might be … isn’t very good at #2.
Question is … How long does soon last?
[Hint: Was there ever any doubt that Larry Brown was going to return to full-time coaching?]
