Back to normal…

The Toronto Raptors are going back to a familiar formula.

Coach Sam Mitchell is inserting T.J. Ford and Rasho Nesterovic into the startling lineup against Detroit Wednesday night. Jose Calderon and Andrea Bargnani will come off the bench.

The Ford move is the most interesting of the two swaps. Calderon asked Mitchell to replace him in the lineup with Ford, saying that both players excelled in the opposite roles.

  1. IMO … this is a huge mistake for this team to make right now.

  2. I don’t see what the problem is.. we know that Calderon can play starter or backup. He’s good with everyone. However, TJ Ford sucks as a backup right now. Getting him back on track gives us the advantage that Forderon has always provided.

  3. I can’t speak for Khandor, but personally I can’t think this is the right move for the makeup and future of this team. I think many people considered TJ to be pretty whiny about not having his old job back and Mitchell was an excuse maker. Now they have forced the hand of a better PG just to make one childish millionaire happy again.

Sometimes the easiest route is not the one with the greatest ultimate reward.
