Want to get stuff off your chest? Head over to our forums and talk to the best minds on the ‘net.
Bargnani – the maskless wonder got off to a scorching start but then turtled the rest of the game. How many good-strong full games has this guy given us in 2 seasons? I really don’t get it. It doesn’t look like he gets tired or disinterested, but in the majority of his games, he just fades away (no pun intended).
Bosh – people might say he let us down in the fourth, but that was some beautiful defence played on him. This was the first game since he’s come back that he didn’t look tired in the fourth, even after battling hard in the first three. We still run that clear out play way too much, but there is no doubt that this would have been another blow out without him.
Calderon – another strong effort. Anthony Carter had an off night more than Jose holding him down, but Calderon did his typical level-headed running of the offence. 17 points seemed to have come from nowhere. Sure didn’t feel like he got 17 shots up.
Delfino – Worthless 7 minutes from a guy that should be showcasing himself for a possible summer renewal. When you are getting shown up by Kapono on BOTH sides of the floor, you need more help than TJ.
Ford – great shot selection except for one play and 11pts in 16min speak well for TJ. Games like this make you wonder why the guy goes bonkers at times. If this was a true tandem, they quite honestly could be the best in the league. Shame.
Kapono – not often you see this guy have more fouls than shot attempts. If ever there was a team that is probably Kapono’s Kryptonite, it is probably the Nuggets. When the Nuggets play D like they played today, it’s like Kapono is in a blender…he is turning everywhere trying to get free, but the lid is on.
Moon – fantastic showing, and a nice double double. He could have easily had 20boards, though, had he followed some shots to the hole. Time and again, he would take off to the defensive end when he had a fairly clear lane for a putback. Can’t complain to much when he plays like this, though. Well, okay, what the hell is up with his 3pt shot selection?! In any event, 19 shots more that triples his average output lately.
Nesterovic – He did his best, but KMart and Marcus would have none of it. He played very well within the game, though, and to once again point out that he is doing so after a long and gruelling 10-15 days just supports the (my) theory that he should be a starter…before he dies.
Parker – Shot selection was a bit iffy, especially considering he wasn’t shooting very well. Would have loved to see him on Carmelo more than Moon was, but that couldn’t happen unless we brought his sister in and put her in disguise. Hmmm…..

Under the Bus: Jason Kapono
Theme Song:
The Raptors played well yesterday and just got beat by the Nuggets … who were slightly ‘better’ during the game’s most important possessions.

Completely agree.
I’m amazed at all the whining today and the fact that Doug Smith has people telling him they are done with the season after a game like that.
Going in, I doubt many had this pegged as a win and after watching their effort, it was right there for the taking.
Admittedly, I’m a huge Melo fan, so I was happy with his 4th quarter heroics, but I left the arena pleased with how the Raps played. If they had hit a few of those late shots, could have been a different outcome.
