Raptors Roll Call March 19 vs Heat

Want to get stuff off your chest? Head over to our forums and talk to the best minds on the ‘net.

Bargnani - The Lone Ranger played like they should solder that mask to his face. Here is a guy who has had his toughness questioned, could easily sit against the Heat, yet comes out the day after having root canal, and a long western trip and he hammers some shots home like he was trying to ring a bell in China. I can’t tell you how impressed I am. Kudos.

Baston - Man, that was one vicious block from behind. I think that Heat players head rolled up beside my seat….and I sit on the opposite end of the floor. Disappointed that he picked up 2 fouls in 7 minutes and the second game in a row that has made me re-think this guy deserves some more floor time.

Bosh - Maybe he left his jumper in the trainers room. 8 boards, great hustle, and nice to see him smile again. Hell, just nice to SEE him again.

Calderon - Granted he was going up against a third stringer, but anybody calling for the return of Ford to the starting lineup should be sent this tape. He could have passed the ball to someone standing at the payphone on the 300 level concourse tonight. Welcome back to double/double territory.

Delfino - I don’t know if he got hurt, so forgive me if I’m off, but if he wasn’t I hope to God that Sam is doing what he promised and sitting people who just don’t seem to care. Carlos may need to change his eyeliner or something because he has been off big time the last few games. Hardly seeing the floor in a blow out should wake him up. If not, I hope he didn’t buy a house in Toronto.

Ford - nice to see the home fans support him and even nicer to see him under control. Again, the jury has to be out until he meets another PG that will challenge and hit him, but he put forth a good effort tonight coming off the easy nutjob of the year award.

Graham - good Joey showed up tonight, even hitting a sweet looking 3. 4 of 5 shooting, some good run, no doubt drinking up a storm at Inside as I type this.

Humphries - Didn’t see the floor until he came out hand in hand with Maceo, and that is to be expected with Bosh’s return. Hit a nice turnaround jumper.

Kapono - his shot was off tonight and a hideous turnover that looked like it should have been committed at a YMCA and not a NBA court. Oddly enough, over dinner I was saying I thought he might have another great night, but my buddy thought otherwise, thinking he wouldn’t want to embarrass his old team. I’d say it was somewhere in the middle.

Moon - Okay, I gotta say this. I despise when I see teams handing it to another team and playing it up. Denver did it to us with their laughing and taunting. The Raptors tonight didn’t do it….except for Moon. I’ll give the guy a pass for smiling after his dunks, but he was yamming it up pretty good to the young guys on the free throw line and the couple of high fives he passed out in front of the Heat bench were a bit over the top.  He did have an above average game for himself and he dunked the night away, but if you take 7 shots in 27min and the only ones you make are dunks? You might want to check yourself before mocking others whose shots aren’t falling.

Nesterovic - it will sure be interesting to see what happens when he is back to coming off the bench, won’t it? Well, how about 12, 4, 4 and 3 blocks. 3 blocks from Rasho. That’s like 7 dunks from Jose.

Parker - If I was able to dunk, it would look something like APs dunk tonight…look great going up, then fall flat on my ass. It was like he was playing basketball while trying to slide safely into second base. Fantastic. Only he could make that look good. Matched the rest of his game..14, 4, 4.
