As the Raptors visit Denver tonight, you have to think there won’t be many sign wavers in the crowd. It’s a funny story, but I still think the more frequent swarming by security takes some of the fun out of the game.
Rather than cancel my tickets, maybe I should just wear a paper bag on my head. That’s what is going down in Milwaukee and Frank lays out why people sometimes just have to stand up for themselves (like myself and Walter) even if it seems like a small drop in the bucket, or in our case, a kick at the base of the CN Tower…it’s felt, but not that much.
Bruce Bowen, he of "if you jump, I’ll slide my foot under you" fame, has been suspended one game for kicking Chris Paul. Not only a stupid thing to do, but it also stops his consecutive game streak at 500 games…which was the longest active streak in the league.
If he is bored, maybe he can go to NYC and chill with Eddy Curry. He is done for the year after surgery on his right knee.
In what can only be viewed as a kick to the mansack of my man Kenz, the owners of the SuperSonics today sent a letter to the mayor of Oklahoma City describing their intent to relocate there. The actual letter can be seen here. Why, when I read it, did I feel like reading a death notice posted on an outpost in the old West? Very depressing.
In what has to be my favourite article of all time on NBA,COM, we are given a blow-by-blow account of what happens behind the scenes of a trade. Engrossing stuff.
The TJ Ford stuff is still swirling around the ballclub. This little piece does a good job of possibly explaining how this could effect Jose’s play of late as well. It will be interesting to see if any changes were made, mentally or physically, on the day off.
You looking for some good Raptors related news? Bosh did some jump shooting and low post work today. He’s alive!!!!
When he does come back, he may need to wrestle the hustle keys away from this guy….
Enjoy the game tonight.
