Raptors Roll Call March 12 vs Lakers

Want to get stuff off your chest? Head over to our forums and talk to the best minds on the ‘net.

Bargnani - Picked up his shooting and added assists to his expanding repertoire. This is one of those nights where the box score outshines the on-court performance. 15 pts, 6 asts, 6 rebs, 2 fouls, 50% from the floor. Solid output

Brezec - You think Mitchell just puts him in to see the fist pump and then yanks him? What the hell does Cluck see in this guy that brings him to mangasm every game? He looks like a flopping fish in the bottom of a rowboat. We need his size, not a karaoke contender.

Calderon - Yikes!! Yikes!! Yikes!! Man, the beginning of the game he had the look of one of those bad dudes auditioning on American Idol. Maybe he saw Jack and lost all bodily control. That was an ugly ugly game. Sure, he had 6 assists, but so did Bargs…and so did Rasho the last game. Not good enough.

Delfino - Carlos, meet the pine.  In all fairness, Parker should never have left the floor, but Carlos needed to give him some breathers. Horrible D and an 0-fer (!) in the points column. Disappointing.

Ford - well, I said that going out west might help him, and if this was any indication, I might be right. Not a great first half, but the second half gave us the “real” TJ. Taking it over when he needed to, but also looking for his teammates. Sure, 23 shots, and he did kind of ignore guys in the fourth (never even looked at Kapono on two possessions), but seemed much more comfortable.

Graham - If there is good or bad Joey, which Joey was it tonight? Okay Joey? 2 fouls in 9min is a bit much, but he was also outmatched. To be on the floor with that strange lineup in the fourth probably messed with his head more than the others and it showed. Still, did more for us than Delfino did.

Humphries - There goes his perfect-from-the-field streak. Not a strong game, outside of some of his usual hustle in the first half. Took a HARD PUNISHING FLAGRANT (hehe) from Kobe. That tape should be sent to the league office!!

Kapono - I still agree with Leo. Kap is doing some good stuff out there and isn’t really hurting us, except in the pocketbook. Not to pick on Delfino on a slow night, but Carlos is so hot and cold, I’d rather take Jason’s knack of making shots over Carlos wondering how he is feeling every game.

Moon - Is Cluck off Moons jock? Because of all the recent home games, I haven’t heard the broadcast, but seems that Primoz has pulled Clucks heart away from Eclipse. Only 6 shots, only 1 block. Barely memorable except for his expletive heard ’round the world.

Nesterovic - The God was still wearing The Robe today. Excellent defence on Gasol. Not good, excellent. That outside shot he took in the late stages of the fourth, you just knew was going in. Primoz and Kris look like they have been through a war after 5min of burn, whereas Rasho looks like he could play a doubleheader. Hell, 39 minutes tonight, 18 pts, 8 reb. All of these are better than what Gasol gave the Lakers.

Parker - That D on Kobe in the first quarter was like watching a clinic. Of course, it was like holding your babies hand to the fire….Kobe would either take it as a challenge and bumrush you or he switches off. Incredibly, neither really happened. Kobe’s point total was cushioned by some late game free throws, taking away some of the much-deserved gleam from AP’s D. Throw in 21 points and it made it seem he watched and learned from the game in Toronto where Kobe had his way.
