Rebound after rebound, Chris Bosh pushed the Toronto Raptors to victory last night.
Despite picking up his fourth foul early in the third quarter that limited his minutes, Bosh grabbed a season-high 19 rebounds and added 22 points, as Toronto inched past Memphis 95-89 last night at the FedEx Forum.
While he has had games where he has scored more points, Bosh’s performance in Memphis was among the most gritty of his career. A night after playing 45 minutes in Dallas, Bosh played 33 minutes, including the entire fourth quarter.
He would have played more if not for some foul trouble. Bosh played the first 20 minutes, but picked up his third foul late in the second quarter. Bosh was then called for an offensive foul early in the third quarter, putting him on the bench for the remainder of the period.
However, the rest seemed to give Bosh a much-needed jolt of energy he needed to finish the game. The forward hauled down four key rebounds in the final quarter and hit a jumper as well as six of seven free throws in the waning minutes.
