What you should know: The son of Jerry Colangelo was named NBA’s Executive of the Year in 2006-07 after the Raptors went from 27 wins to Atlantic Division champs. Spent 15 years with Phoenix Suns, the last 11 as general manager.

Best move: Traded Stephon Marbury to Knicks in January 2004, allowing Phoenix to free up cap space to sign Steve Nash, who won back-to-back MVPs in his first two seasons with Suns.

Worst move: Acquired Marbury in July 2001 in trade that sent Jason Kidd to Nets and helped New Jersey win back-to-back Eastern Conference championships.
