Three amigos weigh in on Leafs, Raptors
globeandmail.com: Globe on Hockey - Wharnsby: Three amigos weigh in on Leafs, Raptors
I’ve enlisted three friends, once again, for their opinions with a little prediction game.
When the Toronto Raptors swung out of the gate with impressive victories over the Philadelphia 76ers and New Jersey Nets, they would have matched the struggling Toronto Maple Leafs in victories lickety split. But the process has been slower than expected because the Raptors have cooled.
Still, the basketball team is within striking distance and it shouldn’t be long before they catch and pass their hockey cousins in wins. The Raptors had four wins in four games heading into their meeting against the Indiana Pacers on Friday evening, and the Leafs have only seven wins at the 20-game mark.
I asked my buddies how they see it. When will the day arrive?
