Dixon To Get More Run? - HOOPSWORLD | NBA News, Rumors and Information
“We’re not a great one-on-one team,” Mitchell said. “We do have guys who are good one-on-one basketball players but as a group we need to beat people with passing, hard cuts, and good screens and execution.”

Mitchell feels Toronto has a veteran in Juan Dixon who fills that role to perfection.

“That’s the role we have for Juan. There’s going to be stretches where we’re going to be struggling and we need that guy that can come in and maybe get to the free-throw line and get some baskets for us. We’re hoping he’s the guy that can do that. He’s done that for us thus far.”

While Dixon didn’t play last night against Utah the veteran knows his name can be called for 30 minutes one night and the next he could find himself on the bench depending on match-ups. As the veteran leader in the Raptors locker room he won’t rant to the media and he won’t pout in front of his teammates. He just continues to work on his game and makes sure that he’s ready mentally and physically when he’s given an opportunity to play.

Maybe now Juan Dixon can help Toronto turnaround their slow start.
