Still waiting for Raptors’ shots to drop
Part of it is the component parts. Last night, the worst offender was Andrea Bargnani, who looks utterly bewildered of late: The 7-foot Italian went 1-for-11, on both good shots and bad. Bargnani is now shooting. 390 on the season.

“Some he rushed, some he got some good looks. He’s a young player — he’s going to have some nights like this,” said Mitchell. “He’s got to worry about the other things: Rebounding, playing defence, running the break. And then the shots will come.”

Last night, the Raptors out-rebounded the third-best rebounding team in the NBA, 50-46. They defended the highest-scoring team in the NBA (Utah came in averaging 111.9 points, and scored 92). And when the shots did come, they scraped paint off the rims.

“I think we got good looks at the basket, and I think on any other day, those shots are going to go down,” said Anthony Parker. “I don’t think we’re pressing. I think the shots that we got, 90% of them are the shots that we want. We can’t complain about guys confidently stepping up to take shots and them not going in.”
