Sixers lost, but found Lou’s game

http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/sixers/20071110_Sixers_lost__but_found_Lous_game.html This was a 105-103 loss to the Toronto Raptors from which the Sixers could walk away feeling they had found a little something. It was one thing for Williams to score 33 points in an exhibition against the Nets. It was very much another thing to put up all 21 of his points in the second half last night, including 19 in the fourth quarter.

Not that it is anywhere near time to compare Williams to former Sixers scoring champion Allen Iverson, but this was almost Iversonesque. The Sixers needed a spark, and the kid started a bonfire. In the fourth quarter, he knocked down six of eight shots from the floor, including all three of his three-pointers; he dropped in four of six free throws, handed out two assists and went the full 12 minutes without a turnover. Where did he think he was, South Gwinnett?
