Bargnani takes seat as team stumbles
“Where Andrea [was getting] shots, that’s normally A.P. or Jason Kapono,” Mitchell said. “Rasho is going to be a different spot on the floor on offence. So it gives you some advantages.

“But the disadvantage is teams may not open the court out as much. But we found a way to get past that last year, and we’ll get past it this year. Rasho is a good enough 15-foot shooter to keep people honest.”

Mitchell also likes how the change will impact his reserve rotation as well. With Bosh and Bargnani starting, Toronto had little in the way of inside scoring options on the bench.

“Now when we go to the bench, we have Andrea. It’s hard for me to play Rasho and Kris Humphries together the way we like to play,” Mitchell said. “And now I can give Chris a blow with Kris Humphries, and you still got a guy who can play inside and outside, the way we like to play. It gives us a continuity in the way we want to do things.”
