Raptor losses mount
http://www.thestar.com/Sports/article/274694And in the aftermath of a 105-96 loss to the Orlando Magic, despite rosy suggestions that all the shots were good, they just didn’t go in and things will eventually be okay, there were enough troubling signs that cannot all be ignored.
Allowing the Magic to shoot 50 per cent from the floor, shooting 38 per cent themselves, climbing back to take a lead late in the fourth quarter only to see it slide away with a rash of poor defensive decisions, the Raptors looked nothing like the polished, confident, winning team that opened the NBA season with back-to-back victories.
“We just have to keep working,” said coach Sam Mitchell, who is concerned but not alarmed by his team’s three-game losing streak. “It’s five games into the season. We know what we’re capable of doing when we play better, we just have to get back to it.”
Quickly would be a good idea.
