Players are permitted by club policy to bring a spouse or significant other on the team charter two trips per season. This journey, because it is taking the players away from home close to two weeks, doesn’t count against that allotment.

“The family members have been very respectful to give the guys their time,” said Mitchell. “Our guys have practised hard.”

Said Colangelo: “It has been a very nice, comfortable atmosphere. I’m glad these family members were able to participate in some regard. It’s nice to have them share in it.”
