Garbajosa made it known in a statement released Friday that he was diligently attempting to obtain insurance to cover his NBA contract with the Raptors and allow him to play for Spain at EuroBask.

“We are aware of Toronto’s interest in preserving my physical condition like they are aware of my firm desire to participate with my team in EuroBask as long as my physical condition allows it,” Garbajosa said in his statement.
